Next time there’s absolutely no way you can solve a problem, explain why you ate an entire chocolate bar, or why your phone wouldn’t connect to WiFi after 15 minutes of trying – start telling about it with 无法 wǔfǎ!

法 fǎ – way (from 办法 bànfǎ)

无法 wǔfǎ – There’s no way to…; unable to…

Don’t forget to always add a verb or a verb phrase after it:
🤳 无法连接 wǔfǎ liànjiē – unable to connect (when the WiFi won’t connect)
🤷🏻♀️ 无法解释 wǔfǎ jiěshì – unable to explain (When you can’t explain something)
🤦🏻♂️ 无法理解 wǔfǎ lǐjiě – unable to understand (When you fail to understand someone’s behavior)
You can even say:
🤯 无法决绝的问题 wǔfǎ jiějué de wèntí – “unsolvable” problem, a problem that can’t be solved

How about the phrase 没办法 méi bànfǎ then?
Think of it as a spoken version of 无法 wǔfǎ! You’ll much more often hear it in spoken language. And 无法 wǔfǎ is more short and formal, so you’ll often see it in apps, messages and notifications (“Unable to connect to WiFi” for example)
