@agnescarita: Hi I want to ask. 1) What’s the difference between 学 and 学习? 2) What’s the difference between 想 and 要? What should I use when I say “I want to learn Chinese?”
@yourmandarin: @agnescarita 1) no difference, except you can use 学习 on its own, and 学 only + subjects 2) 想 is softer than 要 (“want” vs. “need”) 3) 我想学汉语 / 我想学习汉语 / 我要学汉语 are all fine, depending on how determined you feel😄🤺
