A quick grammar post today✨
Last month, when we had posts for phrases 大家 dàjiā (everyone) and 每个人 měige rén (everyone), @adithyamf @vecember12 wondered – what about the phrase 所有的 suǒyǒu de?

So today, let’s look at the ways to say ‘everything’ about things and matters, not people⚽️👠
各个 gègè
Use 各个 it to stress EACH AND EVERY thing:
各个 gègè – each and every…
各个问题 gège wèntí – each and every question
(“The teacher answered each and every question we had yesterday”)
❗️Mind that you can always just say ‘每一个问题 měi yíge wèntí’ instead😏
所有的 suǒyǒu de
Use 所有的 to stress everything AS A WHOLE:
所有的 suǒyǒu de – all the…
所有的问题 suǒyǒu de wèntí – all the questions; all the problems
(“All the problems have already been solved”)
❗️You can use it for people too, and say 所有人😏

@yourmandarin: @san_dy77 @helly.nelly 👍 These are great questions! The difference is, 全部 and 一切 can both be nouns (全部都卖完了 Everything‘s sold out, 一切都是安排好的 Everything’s been arranged). And 所有的 is always followed by a noun. Other than that, all 3 mean “everything” as a whole😊

@yourmandarin: @happily.blond 👍 There’s almost no difference! You can think of 各 as of “each”, and 每 as of “every”. And 每 is used much more often in daily speech😉
