Do you know what’s the second largest online shopping platform in China after Taobao (淘宝)?
No, it’s not JD.com (京东) that spends quite a lot on advertising. It’s 拼多多 pīnduōduō, or Pinduoduo – a platform that attracts its users via WeChat and other social platforms, and promotes “group shopping”!
(❣️See that 拼 pīn character there, “to get together”? We discussed it in 拼团 post)
⭐️
There are very interesting and detailed walk-throughs for this app online (just google “how to use pinduoduo”🔍), but the general idea of the app is to “team up” with friends and strangers in order to get discounts. So people share products on WeChat, and promote the platform💹
⭐️⭐️
But at the same time, 拼多多 has received a lot of criticism lately, because while Taobao fights fake and counterfeit products, 拼多多 doesn’t control the merchants🤷🏻♀️
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have you heard about 拼多多 before?
Have you used it?
And if not, what do you think of the platform – has it found its niche, and will it last?
@sensei_superlina: I use 拼多多 a lot lately! I prefer to buy things like tissue,stationary etc as they are a lot cheaper. BUT buying clothes/shoes Very bad quality ..I received a torn jacket before 🤦🏽♀️. I recommend to check the reviews/pics other customers left! before buying anything it gives a good idea about the quality. The app is simple to use and very nice 👍
@yourmandarin: @sensei_superlina Thanks a lot for sharing your insight! All these tips are really useful😊
@chinoblanco: 拼多多又名 “拼夕夕” 又名 “伪劣假冒产品的天堂”。
